Depressing NOLA Rumor #3: The Times-Picayune does not like trees.
It seems that over the past few months the Times-Picayune has been reporting to its parent company Newhouse that it has been printing and distributing 425k copies of the paper. However the reality is that it is only distributing between 185-200k copies locally and the rest are disposed of in an undisclosed location. So somewhere between 225 and 240k are thrown out daily.
How many trees is that?
And how does that make you feel?
(sorry, TP. A rumor is a rumor and a scoop is a scoop)
